A Nod to Napkins

When a friend and new subscriber Juanita suggested I address napkins, saying that as a rule, not everyone is comfortable with cloth napkins. I immediately agreed.
Napkins have become increasingly underrated, and strangely enough unused.

Napkin use should not be generational!

I am admittedly a “Napkin Aholic,” both paper and cloth, and I tend to collect both.
For this article, we are going to feature cloth napkins and simple, creative ways to use them.

Being a creative, I believe anything goes when it comes to cloth napkins!
Use them in any way that makes you smile while setting the table.
Consider using cloth napkins in your everyday life; cloth napkins may lower landfill waste?
(I don’t know…?)

Juanita suggested I recommend different table settings using cloth napkins, so that’s exactly what I did!

As you can see, I feel strongly that you can have a ball when it comes to napkins!
Develop your own sense of style. As I said earlier have fun while “dressing” or styling your table!
Napkin rings area a great addition, and an inexpensive way
to add a little splash of color or a theme.

If you’re not a napkin ring person, or that’s not the mood for the table,
go without napkin rings!

A few years ago, there was a trend to style the napkins in the glassware. I find that can distract from your centerpiece; however, you can incorporate that into your tablescape.
That’s just me!

Surprise yourself and your friends and family!

It may be the simplest napkin surprise that generates a smile….
