The Not so Snobby Hobby

As a self-confessed Not so Snobby Hobbyist, I thought I would share a couple of my favorite finds found second hand.

The first is an antique pedestal pitcher. I fell in love with the silhouette and color, as well as the height.
I was going for a girl's weekend at Lake Chatuge in Towns County Georgia several years ago.
The drive from Metro Atlanta to Lake Chatuge is approximately two hours long. We weren’t in a hurry, so we stopped
at a couple of antique shops along the way.

My only purchase that entire weekend was this beautiful handblown pitcher.
I have yet to find another like it and still treasure it!

The second treasure I found at an estate sale.
I have only been to approximately three estate sales, and on this day, it was a
completely random stop.

Again, I have had this for several years and still think it’s a great piece!
This is a Tortoise Shell Bamboo side table/chest.
I have enjoyed this piece in a few different rooms throughout the years,
for a couple of reasons.
It’s an unusual piece, and I like that it adds a bit of texture in the space.
This piece has been paired with a leather Chesterfield sofa, another time in a sunroom, and now
it lives in my very casual living room.
Another example of a great find from a Not so Snobby shopper!

These fabulous finds may not suite your sense of style.
That’s exactly why you may want to go on a treasure hunt of your own. After a few attempts, you may find it to be quite rewarding - especially if you like the ‘thrill of the hunt!’
