The Queen of Halloween

In the last edition of The Painted Artichoke, I featured handmade cards by Carmen. In this fall edition,
I am introducing you to another talented card artist, Loyce.

I feel as though any card sent in the mail is an incredibly thoughtful gesture. No one sends cards anymore! Just taking the time to address
the envelope, buy stamps and drop a card in the mail is incredibly special. The person on the receiving end feels
loved and appreciated.

Handmade cards are even better! Any special, thoughtful gesture is always made better if it is
handmade.

Loyce began making cards in 2005. Over the years, she has created hundreds of cards! Loyce doesn’t
keep a copy of every card she has made, except for her Halloween cards. She is the self-proclaimed
"Queen of Halloween!”

Take a look at what arrived in my mailbox! This is no trick ! What a treat!

Check out a few more of “The Queen of Halloween” card collection!

These photos don’t do the cards justice. Thay are truly fabulous!

This card punchline is:
“In the freezer!”

In every edition of The Painted Artichoke I mention
that it is the smallest gesture that makes a difference.

Not everyone has the time to create handmade cards, but everyone can pick up a card
at the market and drop it in the mail.

It’s the simplest things….

Thank you, Loyce for allowing me to share your talent!
Happy Halloween!

If you decide to try card making, please send photos! I have been working on a couple of cards myself.
Time will tell….
