Beachy Buffet

With this edition featuring Beaches, Peaches and Pasta, I decided to set up
a beach themed buffet table.

While entertaining, I have always favored a buffet. Even when I bring out the china and crystal,
I prefer the table to be styled rather than set up to serve.
Besides, this allows me to have fun styling the buffet, as well!

Feeling beachy, I thought I would use neutral colors, mimicking the beach.
White plates, white napkins with natural jute napkin rings, even flatware with white handles,
all styled on a neutral table runner.
Looking through my personal beachy coastal collection, I added seashells, large white beads,
and “crabby” salt and pepper shakers.

Being a buffet table, I chose a couple of pieces with height bringing out the vintage metal mesh fish candle holders.
I am incredibly fond of these for some reason,
and have used them a couple of times throughout the years. They may be an acquired taste!!
Feeling as though it needed something with a bit of depth,
I brought out a beach buoy.

Keeping the palette neutral, I also opted for
clear crystal glassware.
(Please bear in mind, I condensed everything for a photo!)

This is just an example of a casual, summer buffet set up. Use what you have, including your creativity.
Bring out something you haven’t used in a while …
surprise yourself and have fun with it!

Maybe it’s the simplest, most unexpected thing….
the ancient fish candleholders made me smile!

Please share this with your friends and family and subscribe. Send photos of your summer table toppers!
